EGL USA moves headquarters to 48th street

As of September 2, EGL USA has moved its headquarters into new, expanded office and laboratory space on two floors of 6 West 48th Street, New York, NY 10036. The reception/intake area is on the third floor and is open from 9 to 5:30, except on Fridays when the lab closes in the early afternoon.

The new space is 50% times larger than the former location, which will afford customers many improved benefits, according to Mark Gershburg, EGL USA Director. These include faster service due to double the intake windows; greater convenience as all intake is consolidated on the third floor; more private consultation area; and quicker turnaround due to increased staff.

"We simply outgrew our former headquarters," said Gershburg. "This new location, which is right around the corner from the Diamond Dealers Club, will allow us to continue to grow our business while providing enhanced services for our customers."

Security at 6 West 48th Street is in the process of being totally overhauled and improved to accommodate EGL USA's needs. "In this age of heightened security, we've put a lot of effort into ensuring the safety of our employees, our customers and their goods," said Gershburg.

Through the end of October free coffee and pastries will be available for customers in the new reception area.
